At the end of 2024, PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS) marked a significant milestone by developing the Digital Maritime Development Center (DMDC) in Yogyakarta. Officially inaugurated on December 30, 2024, DMDC strengthens its commitment to creating innovative products and IT services to support Pelindo in becoming a world-class integrated maritime ecosystem leader.
"The establishment of the first DMDC in Jakarta was ILCS's initial step in supporting Pelindo's vision and mission by continuously delivering digital innovations across port operational areas. DMDC functions not only as a technology development center but also as a Digital Factory focusing on product innovation and human resource training in information technology. ‘Agile, Impactful, and Excellence’ is the new spirit of DMDC," said Natal Iman Ginting, CEO of ILCS, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with various parties to create market-relevant solutions.
As ILCS's unique identity, DMDC serves as a center for developing both software and hardware products and technologies. Comprising talented engineers, DMDC will consistently produce innovative products to support the creation of an integrated maritime and logistics ecosystem. This step reinforces ILCS's role as a leader in the digital transformation of Indonesia's logistics and port sectors.
The establishment of DMDC in Yogyakarta further strengthens ILCS's support for Indonesia's maritime industry growth. The primary objectives include enhancing the maritime industry's capabilities through technological innovation, building a sustainable digital maritime ecosystem, supporting human resource development in the maritime sector, and fostering industrial collaboration to drive the government’s program of creating a golden generation by 2045.
"Yogyakarta was chosen as the DMDC location due to its potential for research and development collaboration in IT with the local academic community. This initiative aims to empower digital talent in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and surrounding areas, creating opportunities for young generations to contribute to digital innovations that support the maritime industry. 'We are committed to becoming a center for innovation and technology development to create a leading digital maritime ecosystem capable of competing nationally and globally,' said Natal.
With the opening of DMDC, ILCS solidifies its position in supporting the growth of Indonesia's maritime industry. The main focus of this initiative is to enhance industrial capabilities through technological innovation, build a sustainable digital maritime ecosystem, and foster collaboration between industrial sectors to achieve the government’s vision of creating a golden generation by 2045. "The enthusiasm of the younger generation is expected to continually produce cutting-edge digital solutions tailored to customer needs," concluded Mulya, Head of DMDC.
