PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS), a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), remains committed to supporting sustainability in the operational area of the Strategic Port in Makassar through its ILCS Blue & Green Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program in the coastal area of Tallo, Makassar.
This program focuses on increasing awareness of coastal communities regarding waste management through education with the Rajata Tallo Waste Bank and Maggot Tallo Waste Bank groups, as well as strengthening operational facilities through the provision of clean three-wheeled motorcycles and electricity networks. These efforts not only support the capacity building of local communities and fishermen but also strengthen the collaborative network of local communities in maintaining environmental cleanliness and reducing marine pollution.
PT ILCS Corporate Secretary, Dimas Giri Prabowo, stated that this activity represents a concrete implementation of the company's commitment to supporting the sustainability of the port ecosystem. "The Makassar Coastal Area is a strategic area with the presence of major ports in Eastern Indonesia. Through this Blue & Green program, we want to contribute to environmental sustainability, empower communities, and support the creation of green and sustainable ports and the development of a circular economy in the region," he said.
Furthermore, ILCS emphasizes that the success of modern port management hinges not only on infrastructure and technology, but also on environmental sustainability and the well-being of communities surrounding the port's operational areas. Through this program, ILCS hopes to promote a cleaner coastal environment, healthier oceans, and strengthen resilient local communities in facing the challenges of climate change and building a greener, more prosperous future for future generations.
