The Campus Field Trip – Port Forward: A Modern Maritime Journey is part of ILCS’s ongoing TJSL Education program, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and quality education while promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. As the largest and busiest port in Indonesia, Tanjung Priok Port serves as an ideal destination for Universitas Ahmad Dahlan students to enhance their digital technology literacy and gain in-depth knowledge of port operational systems.
Febriandika Putra, Head of the Research and Innovation Department at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), stated that the I-CON 2.0 program aligns with Pelindo's strategy of fostering process and product-oriented innovation. “This program reflects the Open Innovation concept, where innovative solutions are not only sourced internally but also involve external stakeholders such as universities. This collaboration provides an opportunity for academia to contribute to real-world solutions for the port industry,” said Febri.
Meanwhile, Gatot Sugiharto, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, highlighted the program’s impact: “The I-CON 2.0 program accelerates the integration between academia and industry, equipping students with enhanced digital literacy and broader insights. This direct exploration at Tanjung Priok Port is expected to provide students with a positive affirmation for their future—not only by offering a real-world perspective on the port industry but also by fostering the development of relevant technical skills and innovations in line with the latest technological advancements,” he explained.
The I-CON 2.0 program and the Field Trip – Port Forward: A Modern Maritime Journey are part of ILCS’s commitment to supporting PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero)’s strategy in driving digitalization and innovation within the port sector. Strengthening collaboration between academia and industry is expected to foster new talents and innovations that enhance efficiency and position ILCS as a global leader in integrated digital solutions for the maritime ecosystem, stated Dimas Giri Prabowo, Corporate Secretary of ILCS.
